The Family Life Center will hold a Financial Planning for Women workshop Wednesday, June 8th. The focus will be on teaching kids about money. Workshops will be taught from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Family Life Room 318 on the USU campus and later that evening from 7:00 to 8:30 at the Family Life Center in Logan. Programs are free and registration is not required.

The Alliance for the Varied Arts Gallery will feature an exhibit by renowned photographer Alan Huestis. The exhibition will be on display through June 18th. The gallery is located in the Thatcher Young Mansion at 35 West 100 South in Logan.

The Stokes Nature Center in Logan Canyon will host a program entitled "Seeking Our Roots- Plant Lore of Logan" Thursday, June 9th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The program is designed for ages 16 and up; however, all ages are welcome. The Salt Lake Astronomical Society will host two free public star parties Friday, June 10th and Saturday, the 11th from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. The star party on the 10th will be held in the parking lot of the Harmon's Grocery Store in Salt Lake City. The party on the 11th will be at Harmon's Observatory in the Stansbury Park Observatory complex west of Salt Lake City.

The music ensemble "Meadowlark" will perform Saturday, June 11th at 8:00 p.m. at the Tanner Amphitheatre in Springdale near Zion National Park.
